- Now, you need to brush the egg wash around the edges. Then place another dough on top of the Nutella.
- You can use a fork, and seal the edges.
- Then place them on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
- Do the same for the remaining pop-tarts. Place them inside the refrigerator for 60 minutes.
- This helps in ensuring that the contents inside are firm & ready for baking.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Celcius. Bake them for 20-25 minutes, until they turn light golden brown.
- Make sure that there is even baking on the pop tarts.
- You can choose the homemade pop tart flavours according to your taste & preferences. Some of them include cinnamon, apple, blueberry, strawberry, pumpkin spice, and cookies and cream.
How can you store pop-tarts?
Did you know that your homemade pop tarts can be placed in an air-tight container for a few days without getting spoilt? However, they are best consumed when they are eaten at room temperature.
We do suggest that you heat them up because the chocolate coating will melt. But, you can freeze them in a freezer-safe bag, for a few days. Again, we may not advise to place them inside the refrigerator for a long time.
You can consume them, once they are done & ready. However, you can place them inside for a few days at the most, and eat them with something hot like tea, coffee, and chocolate milk.
